About Komarno

Komarno is the main town of ethnic Hungarians in Slovakia. It is home of Hungarian theatre and university. Its population is 35 000.

There is a unique fortress system around the town that used to protect the town from Turkish invasions in the past. A new Europe Place square with each house built in a style typical to each European country is in the centre of Komarno.
